The journey for me so far as a PIR facilitator has been one full of ups and downs, twists and turns, upside downs and inside outs. What I thought it would look like and what it has so far turned out to be, have been interesting to say the least. It has shown how powerful it can be with six different organisations working together. It has also shown the work it takes to stay on the same page and create change.
In saying all of that, I wouldn’t change this experience for the world. It has been a learning curve for me and at times challenging, but I find that and the job very exciting.
The space we work in can be complex and one that deserves respect from all involved. But collectively we can make a difference with how services work together and how people living with a mental illness can take back control of their life.
This is what excites me about Partners in Recovery.
The question is what excites you???
