Seeking GPs for mental health, suicide prevention and AOD clinical reference group

 

Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) and Gold Coast Health are seeking expressions of interest from local clinicians to form part of a reference group for mental health, suicide prevention and alcohol and other drugs. Members of this reference group will use their clinical expertise and system knowledge to provide strategic advice on service integration across the region. The reference group will be a key advisory group for the Regional Plan for mental health, suicide prevention and alcohol and other drugs, which is a joint initiative of GCPHN and Gold Coast Health.

What we seek for the Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinical Reference Group:

Individuals with specialist skills and expertise in mental health, suicide prevention. and alcohol and drugs reflecting key clinical professional groups from the primary sector and hospital and health service including:

  • General practice
  • Psychology
  • Pharmacy
  • Mental health nursing
  • Psychiatry
  • Social work
  • Occupational therapy
  • Child and youth
  • Allied health
  • Alcohol and other drugs

Applicants who submit an expression of interest should demonstrate:

  • Expertise in delivery of mental health, suicide prevention, alcohol and other drug services
  • A commitment to a ‘whole of system’ approach
  • Value for the inclusion of the lived experience voice
  • A desire to drive and inform evidence-based service development
  • Capacity to attend a meeting every two months from 4:00 – 6:00pm and access to email
