Am I Eligible?

Does this sound like you:

  • Live on the Gold Coast (from Coolangatta to Stapylton, or west to Canungra),
  • Your ability to maintain your well-being is significantly impacted by the effects of living with mental illness,
  • Have a range of needs that can’t be addressed by just one service, and
  • Want to access the PIR program.

If you answered Yes, fill out our online referral form and we will get in touch with you.

If you’re unsure if you are eligible, or if you have any questions, you’re welcome to call PIR directly on 1300 130 339. If you’re calling about someone else, you’ll need to have their consent before you call.

How does PIR Work?

Once you have made contact, our Intake Officer will talk to you about PIR and how it works. From here, you and the Intake Officer discuss whether PIR is appropriate for you.

Once you have spoken with intake, you will be able to choose which partnering organisation you wish to work closely with. You will be assigned a Facilitator from your organisation of choice.

The Facilitator will meet with you to discuss your current situation and work with you to identify if you are eligible for the program. Your Facilitator, whilst working closely with you, will then coordinate services with the aim of meeting your identified needs.

PIR also supports participants through identifying capacity building needs and holding group workshops. Past workshops have included: de-cluttering and hoarding, computer skills, trauma therapy, personal growth, pre-employment skills, cooking and nutrition, emotional freedom technique, starting up a business, managing emotions DBT therapy, holistic wellness, and recovery workshops run by people with a lived experience.
