Am I Eligible?

Does this sound like you:

  • Live on the Gold Coast (from Coolangatta to Stapylton, or west to Canungra),
  • Your ability to maintain your well-being is significantly impacted by the effects of living with mental illness,
  • Have a range of needs that can’t be addressed by just one service, and
  • Want to access the PIR program

As part of the PIR intake process, the following additional considerations will apply in relation to NDIS eligibility. The individual must be:

  • Less than 65 years of age
  • An Australian citizen
  • Be able to evidence functional impact and psychosocial disability

If you answered Yes, fill out our online referral form and we will get in touch with you.

If you’re unsure if you are eligible, or if you have any questions, you’re welcome to call PIR directly on 1300 130 339. If you’re calling about someone else, you’ll need to have their consent before you call.

What is next?

Once you have made contact, our Intake Officer will talk to you about PIR and NDIS how these works. From here, you and the Intake Officer discuss whether PIR is appropriate for you.

Once you have spoken with intake, you will be able to choose which partnering organisation you wish to work closely with. You will be assigned a Facilitator from one of our partner organisations.

The Facilitator will meet with you to discuss your current situation and work with you to identify if you are eligible for the program and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Your Facilitator, whilst working closely with you, will then work with you to coordinate services and gather supporting evidence for your NDIS application.
